Medicaid Expansion Community Health Worker

Salary- Low-mid 30’s Negotiable depending on education and experience.
Full time 40 hours per week. (Some Flexible hours) No Remote Work.
Service Region: Dunklin, Pemiscot, New Madrid, Mississippi, Scott counties
Position housed at MBRC in Sikeston and reports to Program Manager.

This position plays an important role in supporting Medicaid enrollment, marketing,  and outreach, for the Medicaid Expansion program. Responsible for conducting public education activities designed to raise awareness about Medicaid Expansion as well as to recruit eligible individuals to obtain Medicaid coverage. Maintain accurate and updated documentation for program activities. Self-motivated and enjoys working with families and the ability to effectively work with a team and independently. Experience working with HIPPA compliance.

Participates in partnership with other MBRC programs and activities in the Bootheel communities and has knowledge of community resources, with skills in building community relationships. Experience working with volunteers or mentorships, community resources, family advocacy, and health education.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. An associate degree or some college in a related field is preferred but not required. 1 + years of experience working in community outreach preferred. Experience may be considered in place of education. Interpersonal and public speaking skills. Organization, time management, Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) skills preferred. Requires travel in the program region, reliable transportation with insurance, and a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment. Company vehicles are available to support transportation.
