Community Consortium Coordinator

Salary: High 30’s – Low 40’s Negotiable depending on Education and Experience.

M-F 40 hours per week, some flexible hours, and travel required in the program region.

Program Region: Dunklin, Pemiscot, New Madrid, Mississippi, Scott, and Butler counties.

This position supports the Missouri Bootheel Healthy Start program and plays a critical role in convening partner organizations and community members to work together to strengthen and coordinate activities for the local Maternal Child & Family Health service system.

Seeking a professional, self-motivating individual with community outreach experience who enjoys working in the community. Responsibilities include recruiting community members to serve on the Community Consortium, coordinating educational activities for Community Consortium, working with Consortium Co-chair, understanding emerging needs and social determinants of health in local communities that impact child and maternal health and presenting in public forums. Must demonstrate successful experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including experience incorporating people with lived experience in planning and decision-making processes. It requires knowledge or experience working with programs affiliated with social determinants of health, health disparities, and their impact on health outcomes. Must be able to support coordination of education, community activities and facilitate meetings in diverse settings including virtual meeting platforms.

Requirements: High School or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college/university or some college preferred.

Work experience may substitute education requirements and a combination of certifications, community health worker, outreach, training, and experience to support skills may be considered.

Effective verbal and written communication or strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop productive, positive working relationships. Work well independently and with a team. Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing. Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) Experience working in a non-profit, social service, or related programs. It requires travel in the project region with reliable transportation, insurance, and a valid driver’s license. Company vehicles are available to support travel.
