Bootheel Network for Health Improvement

The Bootheel Network for Health Improvement is a multicounty rural health network, established in 2010, with the assistance of a HRSA Rural Health Network Development Planning Grant. The primary purposes of the grant project are to enhance efficiency, expand access, coordinate and improve the quality of essential health care services and strengthen the rural health care system as a whole. This Network has unique insight into the strengths and challenges facing the local health care system and the health status of residents of Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott, and Stoddard Counties in the area commonly known as the Missouri Bootheel.

Cape County Public Health Center

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center is ready to help you realize a healthy and full life. We offer many health services to the area. Many services are available to anyone regardless of financial status and are free of charge. Some clinics have financial guidelines and reasonable fees based on the cost of providing the service.

Dunklin County Health Department

The Dunklin County Health Department is a team of caring, dedicated professionals responsive to the public health needs of our community. We value quality health and well being delivered with a positive attitude of commitment, respect, integrity, and equality. The Dunklin County Health Department was established for the residents of Dunklin County and is funded through county taxes and the State of Missouri. All services, except WIC, are available to anyone regardless of financial status. We provide services for all residents of Dunklin County.

The mission of the Dunklin County Health Department is to provide and promote accessible, preventive health care through assessing the needs, developing policies and assuring the delivery of health care services that positively impact the community. Health education programs are available to civic groups, schools, senior citizen sites and anyone requesting a program.

Mississippi County Health Department

The Mississippi County Health Department provides a variety of healthcare services and programs to residents in Mississippi County, Missouri. The health department has offices in Charleston and East Prairie. Our services are provided to men, women, children and infants regardless of income. Health services include birth control, immunizations and blood pressure/blood sugar screenings.

New Madrid County Health Department

The New Madrid County Health Department recognizes the many challenges facing the citizens of our rural county. The purpose of our organization is to Prevent, promote, Protect the residents of New Madrid County while building partnerships with the residents and other organizations to provide support to the community. Our mission is to serve residents of New Madrid County by promoting healthy individuals, families, communities and environment through compassionate care, education, and prevention, thereby creating longer life, fewer illnesses, and premature deaths.

Pemiscot County Health Department

The Pemiscot County Health Center provides a wide range of services for monitoring and promoting health for county residents. Along with education and information, health services are provided to men, women, children and infants regardless of income. The Center focuses directly on a wide variety of health issues, while also linking people with needed personal health services and ensuring health care when otherwise unavailable.

We provide services for infants and children, young and middle-aged adults, and the elderly population of Stoddard County.
