MBRC’s 17th Annual Fishing Clinic at Combs Lake in Kennett
Our 17th Annual Fishing Clinic held at Comb’s Lake in Kennett was a HUGE success; 560 plus attendees were at the event that took place on a beautiful Saturday. Many prizes were given to individuals & families that attended at the event. Thousands of our Fishing Clinic tickets were sold, thanks to our staff & volunteers for their hard work, and thank you to those who purchased the ticket(s)-we appreciate your support! It was absolutely lovely seeing so many families showed up; the event was nothing short of laughers & joyful moments with loved ones. To name a few of the activities that were at the event; free fishing poles and free t-shirts were distributed, music, boat rides, fishing contests (biggest fish caught), archery, free prizes were given to kids, free breakfast, snacks, lunch, and many more. Few of the attendees that were interviewed by our staff commented on how much they had enjoyed the event with their family and friends. One interviewee stated, “It is a lovely event where I get to enjoy with my family, especially fishing with my kids; we come here every year for this.” In the Bootheel region, due to certain common barriers to rural areas, such as transportation; many families find this family or community event to be a rare opportunity for them to spend quality time together as a family!
